He makes me feel safe, especially when he wraps his arms around me. He taught me how to work hard, be responsible, and be independent. I was always expected to give my best effort in anything I try. He taught me how to persevere through trials. He taught me to have a sense of humor, and to play fair. He showed me how to have a sense of pride, but not be prideful; that it takes sacrifice to accomplish your goals and that life isn't always fair.
Anyone can be a dad, but it takes a real man to be a father. Thank you for all your love, support, patience, sacrifice, and countless words of advice. Thank you especially for helping to shape the person I am today.
I love you, Dad. Happy Father's Day.
